New Feature: Visible/Hidden Items

We’ve introduced a new way to manage items in your system.

Previously, the only option was Active/Inactive, which acted as a hard archive and required you to remove all dependencies before deactivating an item. This kept data clean but could be time-consuming.

Visible/Hidden is a softer alternative:

• Hide items without clearing all dependencies first

• Remove them from pages and new recipe options instantly

• Keep them in existing recipes, shown with a strikethrough if in use – a clear signal they’re being phased out

• No need to disrupt current workflows while you tidy up
  

  

Currently available on the Items page (Menu Items, Production Items, Inventory Items).
Future improvements could include:

• Strikethroughs on Stocktakes and Count Sheets

• CPU Item and CPU Production Item hiding

• Bulk hiding tools

• Automatic hiding of unused items
