🚀 New Stocktake Flow is Coming to Hops

We are updating how stocktakes work in Hops to make the process easier, clearer and more accurate for your team.

You will soon see a new step-by-step stocktake flow. Each stage explains what to do, shows the information you need, and helps you complete your stocktake with confidence.

🔄 What is changing?

1. Summary
This is the starting point of the stocktake. Here you will see the key information such as the site, date, users involved and any notes or details from previous stocktakes.

2. Count Sheets — now with ‘Claim and Return’
Users will now “claim” a count sheet when they begin counting, just like borrowing a library book. When they have finished and are happy with their figures, they “return” it.
This creates clear responsibility and helps prevent mistakes or duplicate entries.
Count Sheets remain fully customisable and widely used. This also helps us prepare to bring Count Sheets to the Hops mobile app, planned for early 2026.

3. Health Checks
Before you move into reviewing or analysing figures, Health Checks will help make sure essential tasks are complete, such as:
    - All deliveries are received
    - Recipes are up to date
    - Invoices and costs are entered
Completing these steps helps ensure your stocktake figures are as accurate as possible.

4. Count Review
This stage allows managers to review all submitted count sheets before analysis.
You can:
    - Sense check the figures
    - Spot any unusual entries
    - Send items back for correction if needed

5. Analysis and Complete
Once all counts are approved, you will be able to review results such as variances and performance, then finalise and complete the stocktake.
