Stocktakes just got smarter

We’ve introduced Smart Stocktakes, the new stocktake system in Hops.

📋 Flexible Count Sheets

Smart Stocktakes are built around Count Sheets, giving you a fully flexible way to count.

Create customisable sheets with multiple count sizes, and count a mix of inventory and production items in one place.
Organise your counts by room, category, or location — whatever works best for your operation.

🤖 AI Guidance & Insights

Smart Stocktakes include AI-powered guidance to support you throughout the process.

Run health checks to identify missing steps before submission, and get insights on where to focus when resolving variances.
You’ll also see how your GP is performing, helping you spot issues faster.

📱 Mobile counting (coming April)

You’ll soon be able to complete Count Sheets directly in the Hops app, making stocktakes quicker and easier for your team on the floor.

What this means for you

Over the coming months, we’ll be moving all customers from Classic Stocktakes to Smart Stocktakes.

To use mobile counting in April, you’ll need to be using Smart Stocktakes.

Classic Stocktakes will be retired on 30 June 2026.

Nothing right away — Smart Stocktakes are available now, and we’ll guide you through the transition before the end of June
