📦 Variance Page – Stock Edit Changes

Previously, it was possible to edit stock quantities and units of measure directly from the Variance page.

Variance values are calculated using counts entered earlier in the process (via count sheets and the review step). Changing the unit at this final stage — for example from kg to grams or packs — could create conflicting information between stages.

This sometimes resulted in:

• counts being overwritten

• mismatched units

• inaccurate stock values

To prevent these issues, editing quantities and units has been removed from the Variance page. All adjustments should now be made during the count or review steps.

This is a temporary safeguard while we design a more robust solution that allows safe, flexible edits without risking data accuracy. Feedback is welcome as we shape the next iteration.
