The Hops referral programme

Good operators know good operators.

Introduce a hospitality business that could work better with Hops. We handle every introduction carefully, you follow progress privately, and UK introductions that go live are recognised with a reward.

Up to £2,750 for a qualifying UK business group

For existing Hops customers and approved referral partners. Full programme terms are shown when you join.

Two ways to take part

Pick the route that describes you, we apply the right terms.

Route A

I’m a Hops customer

Your business already uses Hops and you want to introduce another hospitality operator. Individuals and organisation-authorised representatives can both take part.

  • Use the email associated with your Hops customer account.
  • An established contact can usually verify and continue straight away.
  • If we cannot recognise the contact, the application goes to a person for review. That protects your organisation.

Route B

I’m a referral partner

Consultants, advisers, technology partners, organisations and individuals who make relevant introductions without an active Hops customer relationship.

  • Tell us who you are, how you work with hospitality businesses and who a reward would be paid to.
  • Accept the current published partner terms.
  • Every partner application is reviewed by Hops. Referrals cannot be submitted until it is approved.

UK rewards

Recognition that grows with the group.

One introduction can be worth £500. A four site group, £1,000. A ten site group, the full £2,750. It is the same five minute form either way.

Rewards apply to businesses operating in the UK, and follow the site going live and paying. The detail is in the terms you accept when you join.

£500
Qualifying sites 2 to 10Each additional qualifying site in the same business group.

Outside the UK

Refer anywhere. We will find it the right home.

Introducing a business outside the UK is welcome. Where Hops works with a local reseller we name them, ask your permission and pass the introduction on so it lands with someone who can genuinely help. Where there is not one yet, it stays with us and a person picks it up.

Any local recognition is set by that reseller rather than by Hops, so we will not put a number on it here.

After an introduction

Referral progress and reward progress are two different things.

Your dashboard shows both tracks separately, so an accepted referral is never mistaken for an earned reward.

Referral track · every referral

  1. SubmittedYou receive a permanent reference.
  2. Under reviewHops checks duplicates, ownership and suitability.
  3. AcceptedThe introduction holds its place. Not a reward.
  4. ClosedWith a stated reason, whatever the outcome.

Reward track · UK referrals

  1. ProvisionalA modelled value only. Nothing is payable.
  2. Evidence completeContract, go-live and first paid invoice recorded.
  3. ApprovedA Reward Manager locks amount and payee.
  4. IssuedFulfilment is recorded by hand after sending.

A referral worth making

You already know who needs this.

The operator still counting stock on paper. The group that cannot see GP until the month closes. Tell us and we take it from there.

  • A hospitality business whose purchasing, stock, invoices or cash-up genuinely cause pain today.
  • A named contact who can hold the conversation, with a role and a reason to talk.
  • Enough context that the first call starts halfway in rather than from scratch.
  • Your authority to pass on those business contact details.

We check each introduction against businesses already speaking to Hops, and the first eligible referral takes priority. Everything else sits in the terms you accept when you join.

Questions, answered

The important detail, in plain English.

Does an accepted referral guarantee a reward?

No. Acceptance holds the referral’s place. The reward follows the site actually going live and paying its first subscription invoice, within 12 months, and a Reward Manager signs it off. Sites 11 and beyond add no further reward.

What if Hops already knows the business?

Existing customers, active opportunities, recent leads, duplicates and conflicted introductions may not qualify. Where two people refer the same business, the first eligible referral takes priority.

Can I refer a business outside the UK?

Yes, and it becomes an international referral enquiry. Hops does not promise or administer a reward. Where an active local reseller exists we will name it and ask your permission before sharing anything.

How do I sign in without a password?

Enter your approved email address and we send a single-use link that expires after 15 minutes. Opening it signs you into the normal secure Hops portal session. There is no password to remember or lose.

Can I correct a referral after submitting it?

Submitted details are read-only so the audit history stays intact. Contact Hops and we will record the correction against the referral.
